Ashfield Nursery Gateshead and South Shields

Our aim is to provide the highest standard of nursery care for the children entrusted to us in a safe, secure and comfortable environment. In our nurseries and early learning centres we strive to maintain the important balance of entertainment, fun and play whilst stimulating the children and attending to the PIES :

• Physical development
• Intellectual development
• Emotional development
• Social development

Within our group we have three nurseries, one in Low Fell, Gateshead and two in South Shields. The Ashfield Court Nursery in South Shields sits in the grounds of South Tyneside District Hospital, where we work in partnership with the South Tyneside Healthcare Trust. Significant features of our nursery and early learning centres are :

• All staff are approved and police screened by an organisation using the Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure service.
• All staff are fully qualified or in training
• Baby care available from 6 weeks of age
• Dedicated baby unit at our Gateshead Nursery
• Pre-school education for 3 – 5 year olds
• Open 5 days per week: 7.00am – 6.00pm
• Open 52 weeks a year, closed only on Bank Holidays:

• South Shields: 7.00am – 6.00pm
• Low Fell: 7.30am – 6.00pm

• Collection and drop off arrangements
• Dedicated keyworker for each child
• Special needs co-ordinators
• Security controlled access
• Internal and external CCTV monitoring

We are highly committed to child care in a professional and sympathetic manner. As you browse our website you will see that we are constantly investing in the fabric of the nurseries. We view the development of our staff as being equally important in meeting both our own high standards and the expectations of parents.

Summer Fairs & Opening Days

We will be holding our Summer Fairs / Open Days in the coming weeks. There will be lots of fun activities for the children and parents and prospective parents are welcome to join us to look around the nursery. A manager will be on site at each nursery to answer any questions you may have.

The Summer Fair / Open Days are as follows:

Stanhope Road. Saturday 18th July. 11.00 – 2.00

Ashfield Court. Saturday 25th July. 10.00 – 1.00

Low Fell. Saturday 18th July. 10.00 – 1.00

If you cannot attend in July, we will have further open days throughout the year.
