We are holding an opening evening at the Low Fell Ashfield Nursery in Gateshead on Tuesday 1st November from 6.00 - 7.30pm. Please come along and find out more about the Low Fell nursery. This is an opportunity for all to have a look around this wonderful nursery setting. You can speak to all the staff about the different age ranges we provide and care for and also see the quality of provision we offer.
This nursery is located in a luxury detached building close to all local amenities. Local transport routes are very accessible as the nursery is sited on the junction of Temple Park Road and Stanhope Road. We have our own private car park for safe drop off and pick up collection.
The nursery has recently been renovated with no cost spared to achieve a very high quality and secure nursery.
CCTV for Security & Outdoor Soft Play & Grassed Areas
The nursery is monitored 24hrs a day by CCTV and the nursery has two separate outdoor play areas, one which consists of soft play surface and the other is a grassed area. The nursery’s outdoor equipment is designed to be educational as well as fun; consisting of bikes, scooters, balancing beams, role play areas, sand pits, digging areas, weaving posts, slides etc.
All of the nursery play rooms are well equipped where children can enjoy a vast range of activities with both wet play and soft play (i.e. carpet).
Computers & Smart Boards
Computers and interactive smart board (electronic white board) are enjoyed by all the children. All play rooms in the nursery have direct access to the outdoor play areas to allow free-flow.
Fresh, Nutritious Food Prepared by Our Nursery Chefs
All of the nursery’s food is freshly prepared on the premises and all dietary needs are catered for by our qualified chefs.
All of the nursery staff are qualified within the childcare field and continue to attend regular training to further their knowledge and skills. We work in conjunction with the Early Years team and OFSTED, to ensure that we maintain the high childcare standards required.
The Stanhope Road nursery had a VIP visitor when former Cabinet Minister and Foreign Secretary David Miliband MP called to officially open the nursery’s new soft play area.
Two four-year-olds Sophie Weir and Aaron Pascoe-Watson held a ribbon for the Cabinet Minister to cut and there was laughter when three-year-old Alanna Millar unexpectedly muscled in to help hold the ribbon.
BBC Television came along to cover the event and their report appeared on BBC ‘Look North’.
